Venue
The conference takes place in seminar room of Philosophenweg 19, Heidelberg. See more details on the venue and the two hotels on this map. As you can see, one of the suggested hotels is at walking distance (10-15 min) from the venue. The closest tramway and bus stop is "Brückenstraße (Neuenheim)". Tramway line 5 stops there if you come from the main railway station (Heidelberg Hbf). On the page vrn.de you can consult the schedules and more precise information.
Arrival to Heidelberg
Heidelberg is very well connected with other big European cities in the high-speed network (TGV, ICE, etc.), which makes a train-travel an option even if you come from outside Germany, e.g. it is in occasions, as fast as 3:30 hrs travel from Paris to Heidelberg. If you wish (or have) to arrive by plane, the nearest big airports are Frankfurt (1 hr mainly in high-speed train plus a short travel with regional train) and Stuttgart (2 hrs).
Hotels
While registering, you check a box for the hotel of your preference (beware we have a fixed number of rooms is reserved in each hotel, but we will try to assign the hotel you wish). You will receive an email from the secretariat to confirm your choice. If you plan to cover your stay, the price is ~100 €/night (including breakfast) in the two hotels we have an agreement with. If you are not a speaker but you will attend the conference, we recommend you this option (fill this in the registration form); you will be contacted by the secretariat at a later point. Do not give on the web pages of the hotels your credit card / bank account details. Fees
Participation is free but registration is mandatory (and subject to approval). We want to kindly ask also invited speakers also to register their participation using this page.
